Cure for LDA511 scratching disc bottom.

I have an LDA-511 that was scuffing the bottom of my dvds (and making me very mad) and was gonna get another one when I decided to see if I could repair it. The fix is very easy (even thought you have to disassemble the player). In the disc pull in mechanism which is very robust there is a rubber roller the "pulls" the disc in-what happens is that over a period of time the roller get gunked up and slips againt the bottom of the disc. The solution is to clean the roller with a degreaser and cotton swabs-reassemble-problem cured. Much cheaper than a new dvd player. Depending on how much you use the player you might have to do it once a year. Hope this helps.
