Hi :(! Ok, i have a Western Digital 60GB external harddrive, and yesturday i accidentaly dropped it on my kitchen floor (which isnt soft), but after connecting and reconnecting it to numerous USB ports, all that happens now, is it rumbles and gives out a few clicking noises, for a few minutes, then stops completley? when its hooked to a usb, it shows up in the toolbar as a mass storage device, but i cant access it or anything, because it doesnt show up in my computer, or anywhere?? Can it still be fixed some way? Thanx!

If the HD id damaged beyond repair there may still be a chance to recover the data.
Contact the HD MFG and ask them if they can do it.
They dissamble it and scan the individual platters .
    May cost you though.
I may be wrong but if the data is worth anything to ya I would ask the HD MFG.

Yes, that's typically what data recovery sets you back in this country - not cheap!
