alright, I have a sound blaster 5.1 live. It works fine, but...when I play rise of nations, it just crashes half way into the game. I know it is the soundcard, because I have switched to my crappy onboard sound and RoN works fine. the only problem is that it wont work as 4 channel sound, and kills my frames in all my other games. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions, other than disabling each device when I want to play a certain game

Audigy 2ZS perhaps? It would fit nicely with all the other sexy goodies in your rig!

Well he's got the SoundBlaster 5.1 Live. Not an audigy.

In RoN does it stabilize if you just disable the EAX? A lot of games tend to be a lot more stable with that disabled (still running hardware mode but just without EAX)

1st comment. My computer is no longer bleeding edge. A friend of mine just got the parts i for his new computer:AMD Athlon 64 FX-51, Gigabyte nForce3 150 GA-K8NNXP-940 mobo, 512mb ddr400 muskin registered (for now, says hes goign to upgrade later) BUT HE SKIPPED ON THE VID CARD! A measly radeon 9800 pro (not really..still $290)...lol...i am urging him to just go all out and get a 9800XT!! As for the RoN issue? I shall try that out!_X_X_X_X_X_[small]Intel D875PBZ mobo
