Okay, I'm trying to get Eraserhead from DVD to AVI, here's what I did:
    1. Rip VOB files with DVD Shrink
    2. Convert VOBs to AVI with Super (1006 kb/s XviD, audio is 96 kb/s mp3)
    3. Use VDub-MP3 to join files (This is where the problem occurs)

When I play the file in Windows Media Player, the audio and video are both choppy and there is no sound in the second half. When I play it in Winamp, it will play all the way through fine but if I try to skip to the second half the video stops. I've tried multiple times, always in Direct Stream Mode, but this always happens. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

After ripping the files, run the VOB's through AutoGordianKnot.
Select the output size of the AVI (1cd, 2cd etc).
Let it run overnight, it takes a while but the results are good.
you can select Xvid or DivX in the advanced settings.

Okay, I don't think you understand the problem. I have 4 good .avi files from the 4 vob files, I just can't seem to join these files together without messing it all up.

That notwithstanding, let AGK use Avisynth to frameserve VDub and see if there's a difference.

As a side note, I have used DVD Decrypter in file mode with it set for no file splitting.
It saves the main feature as one large VOB file and that allows VDUB to process the whole file to AVI as one.
So there is no problem joining the separate AVI's which is where the problems with sync seem to show up.
I'm not sure if it would work with FAT 32 with file size limitations.
