My Xbox has a Xecuter2 modchip in it and used to work fine with Avalaunch until my brothers started playing games on it. Somehow, one of the more current titles has upgraded my Microsoft dashboard and has locked me out of my modchip and dashboards. I've tried assorted methods to try and get back into the seedier side (making my own EvoX disc, trying Slayers 2.7, etc) on assorted media, but the Microsoft dashboard keeps rejecting every attempt. I took it back to the guy who installed the chip for me originally and he supposedly 'fixed' it. However, turning it on when returning home put me back at square 1. Any ideas on how to put a different dashboard back on?
I'd say your chip has either come loose or has dry solder joints! It is much easier to remove the chip and Softmod it! Click on my name to see how easy!
