DAT files

    i have a movie on my hard drive but it is a DAT file can anyone tell me how to change format so i can burn to dvd

    to make life easy do this first... see if it loads to the FREE app and very easy to use "DivxToDvd" and it will output vob/bup/ifo for burning as dvd.

    if it doesnt like it do this,

    load the file to VCDeasy and under MPEG TOOLS at bottom of screen convert the RIFF header to compliant mpeg file, then load it to tmpgenc PLUS to make the mpeg dvd compliant (use template for your area PAL or NTSC etc..), then load to tmpgenc DVD AUTHOR to make vob/ifo/bup and burn with the same app...

    i used isobuster to convert it to DAT then i ran it through VCD gear to change it ti avi then converted it to dvd through divxtodvd converter, i dont know wether i went the long way round but it worked
