Mate the only advice i can offer for you is to head over to http://Techno-source.co.uk/phpbb , Theres a guides section under dbox2 . You will see there an IFA guide, follow that guide exactly and youl be up and running in no time.

    All the best

I've followed these guides but still won't connect to the dbox.

I brought a crossover cable and so i disabled my internet, firewall and anivirus software and plugged the crossover into my pc and into the d-box and setup an ip of 192.168.0.101, subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and default gateway to 192.168.0.1. When went into ifa and loaded the image, selected my network card and pressed start. It said your computer will now prepared for the flash process bla bla bla so i click ok and plug the d-box in and another message comes up in german what i don't understand so i just click ok and another message comes up with a red cercle with a cross through it with more german.

I remember a message like that before, but im sure it only appeared when the box was off. So try this m8, keep the box on and all your settins. Start IFA and let it get to the press ok and plug in the dbox or what ever. Dont turn it off at any point but this time hit ok and press the up key and power button at the same time on your actual dbox. See if that kicks IFA in

I have the same problem on a 2x Nokia.

When I click OK, connect the Dbox (or press ON together with UP), the Dbox restarts and IFA displays:

BootP> Request from 00:50:9C:40:57:F9 (assuming that this is DBox).
BootP> Created dynamic ARP entry for DBoxIP 192.168.2.202 with MAC 00:50:9C:40:57:F9
    BootP> Answer sent!

    ..and nothing more..

Another Dbox2 that I have (also Nokia 2x) has been flashed successfully using IFA, set up exactly the same.

Now thats strange Benifa, guess its a hit and a miss process. When it starts flashing it should say "Lade software, ifa " or something like that lol. Try setting your pc ip to 192.168.2.203

    ***Bootp server started... Port 67
    ***TFTP server started... Port 69
Bootp>Request from 00:50:9C:39:54:EF (assuming that this is DBox)

voyagerxp - when IFA displays this msg, what does you dbox do? Mine just boots up and ignores IFA completely..

(My dbox2 is not "kein system", it has a buggy image that won't let me out of radio mode, and then shuts down after 15secs, hence the need to reflash using IFA)..

Voyager, when you get that message wait for about 5 mins to see if anything is happening. It sometimes can take a little longer than usual with different boxes. Benifa a null modem cable should sort the prob , when you get it let us know how you got on m8.
