Dbox In Ireland

Hi everyone. Apologies if this query has already been answered to death but I urgently need help while I still have some hair left! I just bought a Sagem Cable Dbox2 from germany with Sportster OS. Its in Debug mode and I have FTP'd the services/cables files to the right files on the box. I then did a scan for channels and got 146 from NTHelL. All channels appear but I can only get sound and picture on those I've paid to receive. A lock icon is on the screen which I presume means encrypted. My system uses CAMD2 which I think is an encryption key. Could this be stopping the channels appearing? I tried resetting the cam but no joy. An information screen tells me that Sportster can only support one CAM. Please help.

 

Camd2 is for german premiere card support.
You need mgcamd or evocamd and matching au keys.

 

I guess several 1000's.
You can try to get a refund from the seller.

just get a modded uk image that includes the keys in it like blade trinity

 

Sorry for being such a newbie but I have no idea about all this stuff. Where can I find a uk modded image? Does this replace Sportster?

Another idea.
You could try to connect the 500t box to the coax output of your chorus box.
I don't know if the loopthrough of the chorus box upconvert the frequency but its worth a try.

Glic thanks for the help. Dbox up and running. I swear its only fta i'm using it on! One quick question, when i unplugged it and later plugged it back in the cams/keys stopped working and needed to be reset (i.e it seemed like it didn't hold the right decryptor once unplugged) Is this normal? If I power it off I don't get the problem.

 

which cam and u code have you enabled?think evocamd and mgcamd are most popular along with u code 1a or 14 you'll soon find out which suits you best dont forget when you change a cam or u code to reboot the box for it to take effect

 

hey mgb tried what you suggested taking the feed off the rf outlet on the chorus box but no joy that way either

 

Do you get exact the same channels via such a connection?
The chorus box must be powered and connected to the mmds aerial.

 

I'm nearly sure i had it on evocamd first but then changed to mgcamd. I presume it should stay even if the plug gets pulled?!

 

Yeah i got the same ammount of channels again just goes past 266 and 282 no new channels found no new transponders
