The flash chip at the box is not a cd. You simply have to flash an image to the box which contain the box os.
The cables.xml contain the frequencies for the channel scan.

There is no system for starting up at the box.
Use IFA and flash a matching image. A nokia need a 2ximage. For a sagem you have to check how much flash chips are inside the box.

You have to use IFA for flashing. You cannot connect your pc to a empty box without IFA.

i have don 20 dbox an none have all work but this one when i flash it i used the image of the dbox itself an then it went to kein system error

 

You flashed the wrong image and now there is no working system at the box and the box is like empty.
You have to use ImageFlashingAssistent.

i have got ifa on my other pc but it is sayin error starting the box _ifa exe.file is linked to missing export IPHLPAPI.DLL

 

Botched winxp or a trojan is active.

When i flash an image to the box do i have to press a button on the remote when its booting up. Hope i get a reply to this one. Thanks

 

Who do you think should handle the remote signals.
If you flash via IFA the image at the Box doesn't start up.
If the image startup the flash attempt failed.

 

Can someone please let me know where i can get the Irish terrestrial.xml with ch???s bruteforce. Missing some channels on the one i installed, it didn't have bruteforce. Any help is always appreciated.

The bruteforce version and your version is the same.
Some clone boxes have problems to get BBC1 and so on at 266.000 .

 

Hi all, my channels on my dbox are all but gone. I still get a few in like RTE and BBC but the rest are blank. Channels are there but no picture.??

This is the same for a few friends of mine (North Dublin) do you know if NTL changed something? and if they have how can I get the channels back? Do I need a new services.xml file.

Thanks mgb17 I heard about the clones the 500s i think its ths 600 i have im sure its not a clone.Thats not to say their is a problem with this box,their was a problem with remote not communicating with box already and that turned out to be a bad connection of the small ribbon to the ir.just for future reference if anyone buys a 600 and has the same problem most likely its the ribbon. But i did think thir was a bruteforce and it was different to one i used. Cheers lads.
