    Hi all,
I didn't get any reply to the following. Does that mean no one else is having these problems? If not, can anyone suggest what I should do next?

Saw that but it says Sagem and I'm using a Nokia 2X. I also tried some of the cables files listed in earlier posts but also no joy.

In my searching also saw an interesting text file that said:

    New n*l keys 30th Jan08 17:08pm Ireland
    00 - 3B C9 0D 8B 41 04 56 DF
    01- F7 6E 45 22 8F 70 61 33

but I don't know how/where to use these.

    Hi,

What is the best image for Dublin?

I've tried Andromedia 2.0 but not all channels work.

Apart from an image what else do I need? With Andromedia I did a brute force search; is this all I need to do?

Or is it necessary to use a services or/and a cables file?
If so could some upload the latest ones for dublin.

    thanks

    Thanks oggnogg.

    I tried the Andromedia 2.0.

I got over 140 channels. Some of them are freezing though and some channels disappear. I've tried restarting but no luck.

Are there any other images for Dublin like this one?

If I want to test other images do I just put the bouquets and cables files from your site into /var/tuxbox/config/zapit and do a service scan?

In service scan do I leave the bouquet option as: leave current, update, cable-bouquet, erase all or create new?

What do I select for "Cable Provider" if there is no Irish option?
Do I leave "Fast Scan" on?

    thanks for your help

If you go back a good few pages there is an irish9.zip (maybe 10 now) from mgb17. If you use this you will have an Irish option when you scan.

I found that blade II in Dublin was the most stable from xenafan.

When you copy the cables.xml, it will allow you to scan, but will probably overwrite your bouquet & services which is fine other than it wont be in any particular order.

Forget exactly where it goes, but it's all in the previous posts...I know there is a lot, but the answer is in them...

i suggest you open the box and see if its a 1 or 2 chip box just a guess with the freezing is it might just be a 1 chip box and it will need another flash as the image you put on was for 2 chip leem know how u get on

If he put a 2x image on a 1x box or vice versa he would get kein system.

    Set your scan as follows:

    Scan for Services=all services
    Bouquet=Leave current
    Cable Provider=CableUK 6887
    Fast Scan=On
    NETID=42753
    Frequency=291000
    Symbol Rate=6887
    Sections Scan=on

Then press red to save settings(very important)
    Then blue to start scan.

If that doesnt work then change frequency to 363000 and press red to save then scan again.

This should get you all the channels but wont neccessarely fix your freezing problems which could be signal related or just box related,
some images work better then others on certain boxes.

btw, when scanning using UK 6887 (granted ona n old image) although I got all of the channels, the Irish ones were all very blocky. In hindsight, i think the tp's were slightly out, but using mgb's cables.xml, the issue went away.

Yep would agree with that but them scan settings will get you up and running and then you can mess about with cables file etc.

I've tried some more images, inc:

    Blade V2.2 Final
: Not all channels and jumpy / Choppy / non existent RTE
Commando 9.2: No channels at all.

Blade Trinty Revisted: Great pic on all channels except the Irish ones.
I cables.xml into var/tuxbox/config/zapit as Dsleeper did but no change.

    Any suggestions?

    wiz569 quick question:

I am not able to use the settings you gave above in two images, Andromeda and Sportster. When I go into service scan it just skips over those options. Do you know of any way I can change these?

    thanks

    hi oggnogg

just tried that image, no change.

Most channels ok except for the Irish ones and 16 others.
This was about the same as Sportster, which I used with services/bouquets from your site.

Would just like to get the Irish ones working, not really bothered about the other ones.

    any ideas?
    thanks

    Back up your cables.xml, boquets.xml and services.xml.

I think your best bet is to get the mgb's cables.xml from irish.zip. I think it goes into the /tmp/tuxbox/config (it confused me, as i was putting it in var/tuxbox/config and nothing was changing)
    Don't forget to delete scan.conf
reboot, by pulling the power to the box.

Then do your scan using bf n*l, then you should be up and running.

    That should sort you.
