with filezilla you just drag and drop the new file, it asks you if you want to overwrite you just say yes.

 

on the dm500c

expert set up
?communication set up? (i think)

i used:-

192.160.0.12
255.255.255.0
192.160.0.11
192.160.0.11

then on filezilla

192.160.0.12
root
dreambox

my dbox ip is 192.168.1.10 tried username root with the 3 different passwords yet still getting error msg in filezilla

 

Well done Kilters you played a blinder , your fix worked a treat. I'm living in Dublin 12 if anybody needs a dig out.

 

Just a quick recap on ftp tcpip etc.

1 get the ip address of your dbox (settings\network)
lets say 192.168.1.23 for example

2 get any files you need from the net onto your pc

3 open up your network connections and disable wireless if you have it and make a note of all tcpip settings for all network cards for setting back

4 plug in cross over cable to both ethernet ports pc to dbox


5 change the tcpip settings of your ethernet adapter as follows

turn of dchp and give it static details something like below
ipaddress 192.168.1.22
gateway 192.168.1.23
subnet 255.255.255.0

The important part is to put your pc and dbox on the same subnet. In our example the import part is making sure that they both are on 192.168.1.
Setting the gateway of your pc to the ip of the dbox just makes it easier

Start your ftp client of choice and ftp to 192.168.1.23 (the ip address you noted in point 1)

For my dbox the user was root and the password was blank

Hopefully your ftp client will connect and display the directory structure of your dbox. If you cant make a connection and you hvae checked al the ip settings make sure that your firewall allows you to connect out by ftp (port 21)

I usually download the file from the dbox to my pc before overwtiting it with the new one just in case my new one makes it worse

restart your dbox and if your changes have worked reset the pc back to the oricinal settings.

 

I have a Replay Lite Digi Receiver which was scrambled by N*L yesterday and was wondering if anyone can advise on how to reactivate the stations and what steps I have to take.
In the top left corner of the screen appears 1800 Scrambled.

Im running Blade Trinity Final here in Cork on Ch###S.
I tried the txt file method and chaged the Nagra as instructed in previous posts but no luck.
Is there an alternative method or file for Cork or do I need to change the image,?

finally got filezilla working so what do do now it asks me if i want to overwrite the new key with the the original ones?? if so what do i do next??

 

i finally got my dbox back working thanks everyone for their help quick question do u think updating my sportster 1.02 with a newer flash will improve performance or picture quality of the box?

using flash fxp go to var/keys/keylist.txt delete keylist.txt and transfer from your pc the new keylist.txt which is available from a link on this site then set your box to evocam , go to toyour nagra rom and disable all except 11 ,,,,, bobs your uncle ....reboot and watch,

you say disable all your nagra roms except 11 ( it says in an earlier post all except 7)

where do i go to see/disable nagra roms (active and/or disabled)

i never changed any nagra roms (as i dont know where to do it)

and my box is ok...... so far !
