Dbox In Ireland

Hi all, I updated a few boxes tonight and everything is going peachy )

But now I have one Nokia box where I cannot get any AV signal out on the TV Scart. Has anyone seen this problem before? And if you have how did you fix it?

I'm using a MAC and have been wrecking my head since this came up yesterday. Anyway, for any other Mac users out there this is how it's done:

1. On your Macintosh HDD open Applications -> Utilities -> Network utility.
2. Open the info tab and scroll down to (en0) and take the reading of the IP address. If there is no reading plug in the crossover cable and restart from (1). Disable your airport as well.
3. Note the IP address and subtract the last figure (i.e. 192.168.1.23 should be entered on the dbox2 as 192.168.1.22) and enter it on your dbox2 as Dangermse describes above.
4. Get an application as FUGU or FORKLIFT and enter the IP address of your dbox2 and your in business.

I can't state enough how much I owe Dangermse for opening my eyes. Thanks again man!!!!

I have done the above but its still does not work. I have read on other posts that Nagra Rom 11 is enabled and all the others disabled. Does it vary from image to image or does it depend on area.
Im in Cork on Chor## and running the image Blade Trinity Final on it.?

Guys does anybody have a nokia box 2 with the Digitalworldz image.

I have update the keys and change the nagra rom setting but i still only get the fta channels.

This is driving me mad!!!! any help please

Does anybody know where i cad get an image to flash on to my Dbox?
I have been told Commando 9.25 is the one ineed for the republic of ireland ? Iam living in Dublin 15 anyone who has any ideas would be greatly appreciated .I really havent got a clue about this type of technology so simple terms if you can .Thanks in advance .

Does anybody know how to update keys in a Dreambox 500 using remote control. Appreciate any help you can give.

 

can someone please tell me, can I get one of these crossover cables in any computer store? Does it have to be a specific type??

RJ45 crossover cables are readily available in any computer shop (or they will make on for you). Even argos have crossover cables...

 

Quick Question: If I should change the channel names in the Services.xlm file will these be reflected in the GUI box or would I just be wasting my time? Some channel names drives me nuts as they are incorrect...

Question on Images:

I have Sportster 1.7+ according to the start up screen and was thinking to change to something else, not because I have to, but because I want to test it.

Will changing the image have any impact on the keylist.txt and/or any impact on setup one should be aware of before starting. Someone wrote that they uploaded the name.img file to the box and then executed it from there... Is this a good idea?
