Make sure you log in as user root, otherwise you may not be able to overwrite files

..the last bit about running rom 7 in cryo menu - can I do this before I transfer the new keylist or no? Does this mean I have to have my TV hooked up to my dbox when it is hooked up to my pC?? This is kind of difficult for me seein as my rather large TV is in my sitting room and my desktop is upstairs, any way round this??

Many Thanks - you are all kings amongst men!

Lads, I can't connect to my DBOX:Sagem x1 with Trinity Blade.
Question: does the user and password depend on the image?
When i initially got it, it was user: root and password: root, I installed blade trinity back in August 2007, Dbox was working fine and now I need to update these keys but I can't connect (antivirus and firewall are both off), IP addresse are correct...
Would the user and password changed?
    Thanks in advance
    Eddub.

    Dangermse....thanks for the compassion...

I checked the Network settings when it is connected to the TV and the IP on the box is 192.168.123.24 I disconnected my PC from the router and did command prompt for the PC address and the autoconfig IP address is 169.254.88.128 on a Local Area Connection. The OS is windows XP, I have a crossover cable connecting DB to the PC

Any assistance in getting me up and running will do wonders for my stress levels...

change the ip on the box 192.168.1.1 and restart the box then go to the TCP in your network connections on the pc and change the ip to 192.168.1.2 and connect to FTP with username =root password dbox2

Cheers lads I managed to connect to DBOX, especially dangermse!
Just a quick recap on ftp tcpip etc.
1 get the ip address of your dbox (settings\network)
    lets say 192.168.1.23 for example
2 get any files you need from the net onto your pc
3 On PC, open up your network connections and disable wireless if you have it and make a note of all tcpip settings for all network cards for setting back
4 plug in cross over cable to both ethernet ports pc to dbox
5 change the tcpip settings of your ethernet adapter as follows
turn of dchp and give it static details something like below
    ipaddress 192.168.1.22
    gateway 192.168.1.23
    subnet 255.255.255.0

The important part is to put your pc and dbox on the same subnet. In our example the import part is making sure that they both are on 192.168.1.
Setting the gateway of your pc to the ip of the dbox just makes it easier
Start your ftp client of choice and ftp to 192.168.1.23 (the ip address you noted in point 1)
For my dbox the user was root and the password was blank, other possible passwords: dbox, dbox2, root
Hopefully your ftp client will connect and display the directory structure of your dbox. If you cant make a connection and you have checked all the ip settings make sure that your firewall allows you to connect out by ftp (port 21)
I usually download the file from the dbox to my pc before overwtiting it with the new one just in case my new one makes it worse
restart your dbox and if your changes have worked reset the pc back to the oricinal settings.
    But box still not working,
I understand the next step is to:
    'Change:
    Softcam: EvoCamd
Nargra Rom 7 enabled (all others disabled)'
How do I go by doing so on sagem blade trinity x1? cheers
    Eddub
