    Thanks sadam..

By the way, I'm quite inexperienced with website design, and not very artistic. So I intend the site to be plain, simple but useful. Any suggestions as to what you would like to see on it, or any other ideas at all, please PM me. Would really like to get everyone involved..

PS, so far I'm thinking sections for guides, tools, images..

A good FAQ would be good. I am a regular contributor to other forums, it can be frustrating repeating yourself over and over and sometimes people are only given short blunt answers. I like FAQs with the blunt answer first, then go on with the full reasons.
On most forums people are told to search for answers, but a well detailed answer is sometimes hard to find, and you have to piece together about 100 posts before you have gotten every bit of detail, and while reading these 100 posts 95% is stuff you have read before.

Hi, I am failing to connect to the pc via Filezilla.
I type the ip address and it says connecting, awaiting Welcome message. And then times out.
    Any advise?

    Thanks,

PC and Box must be in the same logical network.
If the box ip is 192.168.0.23 for instance set the IP for the network card at the pc to 192.168.0.1

Thanks mgb. It is not a case where the box doesnt connect at all. It say connected, awaiting Welcome message and than fails. I did set the IP as advised, but same result.

If you set the pc ip to 192.168.0.1 the box ip must be in the range 192.168.0.x . The 1 is occupied from th pc and 0 and 255 are not allowed.
For a direct connection you need a crossover network cable. A patch cable is not functional like from your cable modem.
Userid is root and password dbox2.

    Thanks mgb17 :) I am in now.

Out of topic, the only thing that is not working ok is the remote. I am contacting the seller but it may be to much of a hassle to get it replaced.

Does anybody know if the universal remotes would work ok ?
    Anyone to recomend?

    Thanks,
