    HI all,

We bought 4 Sagem DBox2's off ebay last week. I have configured them, uploading the bouquets and services xml files, and three of them work fine. The fourth however has difficulty picking up channels, intermittently picking all up, or none at all, and sometimes there is a green striping down some of the channels, while at other times channels stutter and skip. The base of the DBox has staining consistent with heavy use, and I'm just wondering if it is faulty or old, and needs to be returned to the seller?

    Your comments would be appreciated

    Thanks

I can see some "S*Y DISHES" but do not notice any MMDS aerials. Maybe nobody has Chorus Digital. They could prefer s*y if they want digital TV.

    Guys

    Thanks for help previously.
Had my nokia DBox 2 up and running and getting all channels,
then Sunday morning they are all gone - except rte 2 and TV3.

    The rest are just blank.

I have tried rescanning for channels but I still only get the same two channels.

I have reset the box also.

has anyone else experienced this?? and if so what was the fix?

    thanks

RTE2 and TV3 are freeview, or FTA channels..
Try restarting the EMU, or reflashing..
I had this problem on friends box recently. Retarting EMUs, rebooting, all failed.. Reflashing did the trick though.

Would the same work for the Setanta 1&2 ?

I can see them but as if the frame rate was 1 every 2 seconds and the sound is like a damaged CD.

    Thanks,

    Cheers Guys

Re-flashed the image and scanned and everything is back

Saving the bouquet as a backup is also handy - saved having to sort them all again!!

Hi guys, someone PLEASE help me....I bought a Sagem dbox 2 last week and uploaded the wrong image (a Sportster 2X) which gave me a Kein System) I then had a friend of mine upload a 1X yesterday in work and that seemed to work. The names of the channels came up on the box and all looked good. Unfortunately we could not test this as we didnt have an NTL connection, or a tv for that matter, so when I got it home I set it all up and got afew beers on the way home all set for a nice night of telly but when i turned it on NADA. No channels came up on the TV. When I did a service scan it didnt pick up anything, doesnt even pick up transponders...

I am in Dublin and on NTL. Am I doing something wrong here? Im new to this. We flashed a 1x image to it as its a Sagem. We had to clone a 2 X image though because we couldnt find a link that worked to a 1 X image.

    ..

ANY help would greatly be appreciated!!! My missus thinks its such a waste of money. Pls help me bring harmony into my home again :(

    What image are you using?

Most of the images have a "set your location" function, set this to Dublin then reboot the box, next go to your scan settings: Fast scan on,Cable provider 6887,press red to save settings then scan.
This should pick up 140 tv,33 radio and 11 data.
If this doesnt work let us know.

I was going to try and flash Sportster-Pro_1.08_RC007_1x today. I actually think that when I plugged it in yesterday it may have said something about no codes. What would that mean?

    A sportster 1.7 doesn't have a fastscan feature.
Try a scan via uk sym6887.

Do I just select service scan with the fast scan option set at no to do that?
I have uploaded Sportster-Pro_1.08_RC007_1x and am going to try that at home at lunch. Would that work do you reckon?
