    Hi

I have just bought a dbox2 from Germany with the sportster image. I am getting no channels when I do a scan. I believe this is probably because I receive my ntl through mmds in the Galway area. Can anyone help?

    Many thanks

A friend of mine rang nt! to get it and they said ok. They even gave him extra free channels. Took his money and told him to turn off his decoder and all would be fine.

He did. Never got Setanta golf, rang nt! and they told him it wasnt yet available but would be soon, so I guess when its there we will find it!

Thanks for that Dsleeper, If anyone hears of setanta golf being available on NTL please let me know!!

Thanks for all the assistance received here, finally got the sportster image and services.xml file on to box. Now working perfect on Ntl in Dublin. What is the likelyhood of ntl changing the encryption system completely?

    Hi Mullingar,

I have a sagem and used the sporster image on this link

    http://netwave.redirectme.net/red-dwarf/

I then uploaded the services.xml file which was linked earlier. I did have a few problems at the beginning, but after several attempts it finally worked.

sg2788 : Now you're sorted and have all your channels, would you like to contribute to my collection of pre-configured Irish images? If you would, just make a backup of your working image, ftp to your PC and email to me. I'm planning on posting them on my site in time to come. PM me for address..

Im STILL not sorted Ben... Its really getting depressing. Wish I could just bring someone out to see what I am doing wrong. Hopefully its not the tuner. Do you reckon I might need a signal booster? Allthough I seem to be able to get digital through the pace NT£ box i have at home.... I just dont know why its not working

ethernet connection and a cross over cable and your d box use these settings
    pc ip 192.168.1.1
    pc subnet 255.255.255.0

    dbox ip 192.168.1.2
    dbox subnet same as pc

and everything else blank then use an ftp program and put it into var/ tuxbox/ config/ zapit/ and yous hould she an exisisting servcie file in there transfer over the one you download and overwirte the old one the PLUG OUT YOUR DBOX then start it up and hopefully it should work report back

I am trying to put a services.xml file onto my nokia dbox (sportster image) using a crossover cable by ftp.

I have tried it by following the beginners guides using both internet explorer and cuteftp but it just appears to be timing out or failing to connect. The IP address on my dbox is 192.168.1.23

    Any help would be appreciated
