Why then will evocamd 2.14 not work on the 7025 dreambox even though I deleted rom 10 and rom 11 ???

 

Try mgcamd 1.22 .
Are you sure all 3 files for rom7 are available.

 

mgcamd 1.22 is working.I do not know what you mean about rom7. Should i delete this file in var/keys and then try starting evocamd.Thanks for the help.I think that evocamd works better on the 7025 which is why i was hoping to use it again.

 

If mgcamd is working the rom7 files are available.
Check which rom10 and rom11 files are left over at your box.
Mgcamd ignore the the rom10 and rom11 updates. Evocamd is doing stupid things if all rom10 and rom11 files are present and the au mode is set to 01.

 

This is all above me. Is there a simple way to get evocamd working again?

 

can anyone tell me what images or bouquet files i need,im in limerick on chorus and i have a sagem dbox with a sportster image and the only options i can get when trying to scan are german scans,also i cannont get access to do a manual scan it just skips past it,cheers

 

Looks like you have the wrong image on the box.Download a UK image and select N** to scan.

 

Deleted the roms from keys and scce and all is well.Thank you so much for your help !!!!

Its the latest version but the rom10/rom11 problem is not solved.
Delete the rom10/rom11 files or change the au option to A: { 02 } in camd_cfg.

 

what settings do you use?

If in dublin with a sagem (or even nokia) try testing the image on uk tv gold 2, it is the worst channel for freezing for me. Had a nokia with commando 10 & 11 disabled, ucode 001A and evocam and it was freezing, changed to mgcam and it stopped, though I only watched for about 40mins more.

blade with 10&11 deleted seems alright ok on evocam and gbox, 001A. but it still froze on UKTVG2. on gbox the screen goes blank, on evocam it freezes and sorts itself out after the same length of time.

The night before other channels went black for a split second on gbox, on evocam only UKTVG2 froze.

Commando 8.2 froze on UKTVG2 on my sagem 1x and 2x. didnt give it long enough on the others to know.

 

Do a scan via the irish cables.xml and select Ntl cable Dublin.
If that doesn't cure the problem there is a problem with the signal strength.

 

I'm the same...Commando 6 seems to work fine, but 8.2 freezes every 30 -40 minutes, using both evocamd and mg, with 10 & 11 disabled.
changed A: { 02 } in camd_cfg.

NTL cable dublin used to work very well for me, in the past month or 2 if I try it I sometimes get nothing at all, or just maybe 1/4 the channels. NTL BF IE works better, though last time I tried it the frequencies were all a little different than the service file I normally use, and as bad if not worse. My mate has a signal booster that didnt do much. Nokias work fine.

 

It looks like UPC is playing with the cable network in your area.
Maybe you get now a different signal strength then the weeks ago.

 

hi, been reading all the replies with great interest as I have a couple of boxes which do absolutely nothing else other than chirp and then crash, making me reboot...i've tried a few different images but have got some more ideas and names of images to try from this thread. i understand NTL signal is shit with certain channels (uktv gold, bbc news , channel 6 are particularly bad on dbox and regular NTL box), but in short, is there an image i can use for the sagem1x box version that will mean they won't chirp and stutter and then freeze? it's driving me mad.

simply what is the best image for sagem 1x, that avoids the freezing/chirping problem?

i don't mind missing some channels but having to restart every 14 seconds is a pain in the arse.

I found commando 6 works quite well
