Rcently got a Sagem X1 dbox with Commando 8.2 using Softcam Mgcamd uCode 001a. All is working perfectly except every 10-15mins the picture freezes for 5 secs or so. It feels like a software issue as my signal strength is perfect. I was wondering is there some setting i'm missing as i'm new to the Dbox. Any help would be great

try changing u-code to 0014.

Spoke too soon bettyb. still freezing every 20 mins or so even changing ucode to 0014. Any other suggestions?

 

CAn you switch to evocamd on that image ????

 

try either evocamd or newcamd..

 

set ide to off.activate all your roms.ucode 0014,mgcam.i have commando image mine is working fine on these settings..good luck..stevie...

 

anyone able to helpflashed my dbox with commando 6(is supposed to work well with the sagem) flashed the irish cables file into var/tuxbox/config zapit then turned off the power to the box powered back up but the only option i had for cable providers was bruteforce uk and sym 6887 and another sym but all i get is 10 stations?any advice thanks

MGB17 - you're the man! (or woman?)

I followed your advice and successfully upgraded to Commando 8.2, deleted the 2 rom10 and rom11 files and all cams work fine. One nice 8.2 side effect is the time is no longer 1 hour behind.

I've now got two very minor questions outstanding:

1) UKTV G2 (wrinkly rocker progs) still frequently freezes on all cams. Signal level looks OK. Anyone meeting similar or have suggestions (other than stop living in the past)?

2) Watching TV via yWeb seems hit and miss. When it works, it's good. But then may not work next time I try. Any recommended settings or alternatives?

It looks like there is currently a technical problem with UKTVG2 is some areas in Dublin.

2.
VLC must be running at your pc before you start live stream.
You have to start VLC with the right options.

i have a dreambox dm 500c and ntl cable in dublin....

did anyone elses box stop working ?? aparently the codes where changed or something !!!!

anyway i reflashed and all is fine but my question is this...

which is the best image to use and where can i download a complete image from ??
