Dbox In Ireland

    Ok, I've flashed blade with IFA (cool welcome screen btw). Ihave tried scanning a few different providers and i have got one working for a second or two seemed jumpy then went black on ski movies. Now all im getting is an error message "channel not available" on all channels. do I need a more local services .xml? what else can i try? cheers

    Try a other ucode version and reboot the box.

    ok just rebooted and scanned again and i 've got a movie channel up on screen! it's very choppy like a bad internet stream. im afraid to change it at the mo. will it settle down? should I leave it for a while and hope it settles?

    flicked a few channels, all are working but most are very choppy, getting somwhere though. Good buzz!
    probably need to change ucodes? trying to find out how now.

    Did you change the ucode version?
    There should be a blue button menue. Reboot the box after that.

    ive checked the ucodes and i get this:
    avia 500:avia500v110
    Avia 600: avia600vb028
    Ucode:ucode_001A
    Cam-Alpha: cam-01-02-105D
    I have a 2xSagem are the codes Ok or do I need to change them?
    Dont know how to change them or what to change them to

    is there any other box other than the dreambox 500t,that anyone can recommend that works with chorus mmds?

    Try ucode version 0014. There should be a blue button menue for changing the ucode version. Reboot the box after that.

    in services? blue brings me to software update?
    normally blue brings me to features, sorry I'm not getting this still cant find out how to change ucodes

    press the dbox button and go to the extra menu(think its no 5 on the list) press ok and you should find it in there

    On blade stay watching TV, then press blue
    this brings up a menu, press blue again and it should have a menu with "hardware settings" along with EMU selection etc.
    Go in there and the ucode is selectable somewhere in there, maybe another level down again. 001A works best in dublin, might be different in Galway.

    dbox button brings me to main menu:
    red tv mode
    green radio mode
    yellow scart mode
    blue games
    1audioplayer
    2movieplayer
    3picture viewer
    4settings
    5service
    6 sleeptimer
    7reboot

    if i press 5- service menu i can check ucodes but i cant figure out how to change them.
    .

    go in to no. 4 settings and try in there in the extras menu

    did it, sorted looks good! Thanks a million everyone, Ruprect your the man!. So now I just save the settings and I'm ok, right?

    the movie channels are still choppy but seem a bit better than before. I'm just going to leave it alone for a while and see how it goes.

    You have to reboot the box after a ucode change and if you don't know how pull the plug.
