Dbox In Ireland

thinking of putting blade 2 2x on my sagem 2mmorrow,anyone that has it done did you have 2 delete nagarom.bim 10 + 11 or deactivate 3,10 and 11

PM me you email mate and I will send you all the service.xml files i have there are a lot for all over the uk and some from ireland. Mind you I don't know how good they are as I still haven't got my box working yet.

 

Thanks for the reply mate. I tried deleting the scan.conf file and did a new scan. Same result as before all channels listed but only picture on RTE2 and setanta sports golf and a couple of others. Some of the setanta sports channels say under construction in the EPG. Needless tae say the chick is none too happy wi the golf channel.

 

You are only getting FTA. In addition, you are using a German image, so not modified to work with UK / Irish cable. Flash a UK image, scan and enjoy..

 

Do all you guys find the dbox better than other cable recievers like eurovox or starview even though it's that little bit older???

Aidan, I have sent you the services files i have.
Benifa, sorry for being a retard but can you send me a link to a uk image. All the menus etc in the one i have are in english? I read on another thread to change the camd file but not 100% on how to do this. Again sorry but new to the Dbox and have been reading various threads, dummy guides for the best part of a month.

 

Your current image may have English language locale, but it's not a UK modded image. Several things need to be done in order to convert a German image for use in the UK / Ireland. Still, that's not for here..

www.techno-source.co.uk has plenty of UK modded images for download, or else have a search for Commando 8.20, The Dons, Blade etc. Any one of these images should do you..

 

Can people point me in the rite direction with this 1. I got a box that wasnt flashed with a uk image, so everything is in german with no option to change it!
I have dons-v4 image now and d-box image flashing ass tool to flash it over.
Im able to set the network up but when i trying to flash over, it doesnt connect. It fails. Iv tried everything, it doesnt help when most of the tool is in german!!!
Can anybody help???????

 

download filezilla and ftp over to the dbox,i find it faster that way

turn on the dbox,push the dbox button go down to settings/network and you'll find it in there should start something like 192.168.0.

 

Cant do that glic as my box is in german and is unable to change over to english.

 

Aidanq, you're best off using IFA for successful flashing. Download it here (D-BOX Imageflashingassistent Version 2.3.1 Multilanguage).

 

when you push the dbox button, settings is the 4th option from the bottom press ok then select the 6th option from the bottom and push ok,press the down button and then ok,this should give you the english language on the dbox

 

benifa i hav already got this thanks the problem is that have an active LAN through my laptop and xover cable but it doesnt seem to want to tranfer the image over, it fails to connect! I get through the IFA then it it say Pinging dbox 2 failed!!

Glic, It tells me that this option is unavailable. Thats why it driven me nuts!

 

take a chance on this in filezilla where you enter the ip address make it 192.168.0.1 ,password is dbox2 , username is root

 

try this on the dbox
press dbox button
now go to the 4th option from bottom press ok
you should now be in the settings menu
network should be the 6th from the top press ok
show active network settings is the 4th option from the top press ok

you should get the ip adress and the subnet mark
