Hello im abit new to all of this, so i was just wondering if there is anyone who could clear the difference between the nokia dbox 2 sat version and the nokia dbox 2 cable version.... id guess that with the sat version it works from your satalite dish? so could you possibly plug this into your sky connection and get it working? Where as the cable version would work on a cable say from virgin? Can someone clear this up for me or confirm please Thank you
yes the sat box can plug into a sly dish,if it has a multi lnb you can add more cables,or if you have a sly box you can disconnect and connect to dbox.you will probable be able to get a number of channels with freesat.
Hi, thank you for your reply, but can you also confirm a few more things for me... What do you mean by Multi Lnb? adding more cables? And also, were not paying sky anything for the subscription no more as my mum decided to cut sky off but we still have the sky box and it gives us the free channels, and obviously we still have the dish. So you recon it will work normally as if i were to use cabel dbox? thank you
If you attach the D box to the Dish You will only get the same channels as you are getting now Most Probanly Less There are things that can be done to Acsess Pay channels But you will have to pay a subscription one way or another to receive them Google (Card share ) good luck ................Paul
so do you recon its just easier to stick with the cable one? as ive got it working before and works fine through a cable? which out of the two would you recommend
it depends if you are in around the leeds area as they have moved to nagra3 a new encryption=no box works on cable.
If you have a dbox 2 for cable It will work in the west midland area And be capeble of receiving all channels Once you update it ......................Paul
Cheers paul, ive had one before and it worked perfect, just been and brought a new one, and as for the sat one ive not paid for it yet, so just wanted abit of clarification on weather it will work from the dish, but were only on the freeview channels and your saying it wont be any good and may just get the channels im currently getting. ive never flashed or scanned them myself though but got alot of the programmes ready for when it arrives, hopefully ill be able to set it up haha cheers again paul
Ive got a thing called Free Leech to load images, is this one recommended ..... Sportster Pro 2.0 RC005 2xI and do you know how i can get it to automatically roll the keys so i dont have to keep typing them in everytime it freezes thank you
It just needs an Image with the Nov 2008 rom update installed Andromeda and Blade by xenafan are 2 class images For Cable d box 2,Shout if you cant find them ..............Paul

haha brilliant, the last box i had i had to keep manually installing the keys when they rolled them over, was a pain. never flashed / set it up on my own, so should be good to do as ive got a newbies guide thing haha, once again thank you
