yes i have the image on the box in the .img file type. when i go in to "write whole image", i select the image name, and it brings up the progress bar as usual but it says "cant open MTD device" and then after a second or two returns me to the main menu. from what i can gather from google, MTD device is something to do with the flash memory.

    cheers

    mtd 3 and mtd 4
Are images extracted from your d box via a back up
Try extracting the same image and try again
Try putting the image on without the service and bow ks
Or use easy d box 123 to transfer the image ........Paul

i created the image from my own dbox with the "read whole image" menu and copied that image to my computer via ftp. ftp'd that image to another dbox, no problems, all channels. ftp'd the same image again to this box, everything transfers ok... but then i got that problem trying to write the image. i'll try that other software when i get home.

i dont want to put the image on without the bouquets, that the whole reason i want this image, i have the bouquets all set up the way i want.

    Cheers Paul,
    adam

Extract the bow ks and services from the image
Ftp the image to the box
    Get that up and running
Then ftp service and bow k back on
How are you trying to load it,wot instuctions on remote

FTP .img file to the /tmp folder on the box.

    Using remote...

    DBOX
    SERVICE MENU
    SOFTWARE UPDATE
    EXPERT FUNCTIONS
    WRITE ONE PARTITION
    FLASH WITHOUT BOOTLOADER

    Good luck ..............Paul

    As paul said above,
by the way you only need to write or read ONE partition and flash without bootloader this will save all settings and services and bouquets.
