DEALING WITH FILE SIZES

    I TRIED TO CAPTURE AN AVI FROM TV CARD. IT
    TOOKS 650M FOR 3-4 MIN. IF I TRANFORM THIS
    FILE TO MPEG FORMAT IT WILL TAKE MORE THAN 2 GB BEFORE CONVERTING IT TO VCD FORMAT. HOW DO
    I CAPTURE A 1 HOUR SHOW TO BURN IT INTO A CD? HOW THINGS CAN BE DONE CORRECTLY.I WANT
    TO NOW BEFORE DECIDING TO PURCHASE A CDR

    Little confusing...you say that a 3-4 minute clip took up 650mb of space?
    In the past i have downloaded 5 minute clips with amazing resolution that result in only about 30-50mb.
    I do not know a whole lot about capturing images from TV cards...but try to give more specific detail's about the problem and one ofthe admin's may help you.
    *Are you talking about purchasing a burner or the disc?
    Disc's are only about $1-2 each, Im sure most people on these threads can say they have sacrificed a disc or two here and there.
    Pick up a bunch!!
