delete recently played history for programs

Does anyone know how to (manually?) delete recently opened file history for any program in general? ie is there a place where such programs generally store recently opened file history?

Specifically, I want to delete the recently played file history of Swiff Player (GlobFX technologies), but knowing where they are all stored would be a big help.

Thanks for the link onya, the program is good, but still wondering if there's a certain place these opened file histories are generally stored? Does anyone know that?
