    Hey mate.

About the AOL program....just go to Control panel "Add or remove programs", and uninstall it?

    Or maybe im misunderstanding.

But i just did a factory reinstall of my laptop the other week, and i got all the start up crap also, including a load of game demos. Just uninstalled them :D

    No crap left behind...

i know how to uninstall through add/remove programs. my problem is this (and maybe its not a problem) in the past on other computers when i have deleted aol it tends to give me error messages on other programs. i dunno if its because some files are shared or what. anyway ill just try deleting them and see what happens i guess.

aol is evil, there's no doubts.

when i remove it, i use AOL's own uninstall wizard, then i go through with ccleaner, spybot, etc and let them do their work, then i search through all the file systems for anything left from AOL.
