my brother just gave me a Dell Dimension 4300 and it barely runs I copied all of my windows file from my other machine so that the system can start up but it runs extremely slow and I can't find any of the drivers or information on this system online. I want to reinstall the system but not having any drivers would be my downfall of doing that. if anyone can assist me in repair/upgrading this machine your help would be appreciated.

Get the restore CDs, coping windows files, is a big no no, im surprised you got it to work. You might have to call dell, and pay like 20 bucks for a CD with windows on it, or find a buddy with a dell: use their cds providing that their Service pack, and OS model (home, pro, media center). People might call it piracy, but lets be honest: dell didnt give you a cd and you'd still be using your legit key, so i dont see the big deal.
