Denon 1909 loses audio and video for a second

    Hmm. Just FYI, I have my Denon connected to my TV via S video or something like that, not HDMI or optical. Since I had my condition only occur while watching cable, I don't think it has anything to do with the TV, yours or mine. But then again, you said yours happens once a day or two while mine happens once every 10-20 minutes it seems.

    Since I turned off my Audyssey Dynamic Volume, I have yet to hear any dropout. So it HAS to be that, not a cable connection or source.

    I hope I helped at least a little in solving your (and others here) problem. Thank God for these message boards.

    I'll still call my A/V store tomorrow and see what they're feedback is on this.

    hi
    i've just bought a Sony DZ260
    and have set it up correctly but cannot get thr TV to come through the speakers i have fitted a HDMI cable but am getting an error message (please verify hdmi connection)when i try and switch it on could this be a fault with the cable?

    You using cable box, sat box, or what?
    Did you setup box to output "Dolby Digital" audio?
    Did you assign the HDMI input on the receiver, to the tv?

    it's a Starview 3
    i eventually got sound by changing over scart leads but i don't think it's in full output i was told to get an optical lead but i cannot connect it to the Sony amp

    Sorry. I know nothing about Starview or scart.
    We don't use either one, here in the US.
