Haha, good isn't it? Essentially since we torrent a lot, and also game a lot, it's handy to have a quick means of checking our connection latency. If it's a bit ass, we drop the torrent speeds.

If you're using XP or Vista or any other Windows OS for that matter, just right click on the thumbnail and choose "set as desktop background"

    Cheers :)

Screengrab from my new Core 2 Duo Linux machine (well it's a quad-boot machine, XP with 3 similar linuxes, have been using old crap machines for too many years); this is from the 'TinyMe' distro (test release 7), runs very nicely on old kit, even better on this machine.

Creaky, how did you get your system info displayed on your desktop? That's pretty sick.

Look Linux. It's like Mac OSX, except Linux actually works! lol

How do you get it to display all that on Ubuntu?

I think my computer is slower on Ubuntu, might have to switch back to XP.

I'd posted but it didn't appear unless you tweak the url (looks like a victim of the end of page bug); i'll wager i'll now have 2 replies if i post this again -

It'll work fine on Ubuntu, there's generic RPM's you can install if Ubuntu doesn't have specific RPM's of it's own.

First link i found for you - http://www.ubuntugeek.com/conky-a-light-...ux-systems.html

Grrr. it results in a double post; then i delete 1 and both disappear...
