I got a dell pc with a 56k dialup modem in it. The modem is installed and seems to work properly. But my quesiton is how do I use it to make a call? I just want to use it to make a normal phone call but over my pc. I googled to subject but all I could find was VOIP software could someone point me to a good phone program? Thanks alot, Peace.
To my knowledge you can't do that with a PC as it's not what modems were meant for. There may be some dialer software out there, but I'm not sure whether it'd be any good or not.
I know for a fact that it is possible to do this with a dialup modem because a program used to be set up on the pc that gave it such functionality. The problem is I did a clean install and I can not recall the name of the dialer software I have googled the subject but all I could find is VOIP software. Im looking for software that will use the lan line I have pluged into the dialup modem.
