Actually, Kurt wasn't a great musician at all. He was a great songwriter, and a good performer, but from a guitarist's point of view, he just plain sucked. So he played agressively.. Who cares?
He only played barre chords, and i have yet to find a decent solo in a nirvana record.

This doesn't take away the fact that Kurt was a brilliant performer, and that he will be be missed by millions (and that Courtney Love must die an equally horrible death for her part in his demise), including me, but that statement of yours is just plain bullsh*t.

Damnit, and i was just wondering if he would actually have enough knowledge about music to come up with a proper counter for that devastating fact.... :'(

yeah im with The_Fiend on this one...Cobain was a bad Guitar player..leave that to Hendrix.. but he was an amazing song writer...that was his talent...im sure he could write a catchy beat slap some beauty lyrics in there and make a hit nirvana song...he was an amazing talent.....

RIP KURT (we all love your little odd sunglasses)

Well, they decided to let me back in as the reason for my permanent suspension was garbage. Now by all means, Cobain never wrote fast, difficult, songs with long guitar solos, but,Kurt Cobain by all means was not a crappy guitar player whatsoever. Any idiot can fill there songs with with a couple minute solo, unlike most his riff's fit the songs:p but it takes true talent to create the emotion and vibe you get from a Nirvana tune. Also do any of you happen to own the Nirvana Box Set??? Check out the the guitar solo he did for the original demo of Heart Shaped Box, before Steve Albini decided to make them cut it short. Also the guy played guitar for since he was like 14. Do any of you know that he couldnt play a Page,Slash,Hammet or Hendrix Solo? Or better yet??? Did any of you know him on a personal level?? No?? Didnt think so.

WRONG i listen to alot of music being i have 2500 plus albums/cds and was an DJ for years.as far as talent[bold] "Dream Theater"[/bold] is probably the most talented band alive thoses guys are insane. and [bold]"Led Zeppelin"[/bold] being the greatest band to ever walk the earth.

Nirvanas music was good i really liked the "Bleach" album and "Nevermind" but after thoses two nothing caught my ear .some of the other Seattle bands like[bold] "Soundgarden"(Temple Of The Dog),"Alice In Chains","Mudhoney" and "Mother Love Bone"[/bold] i thought were way better than Nirvana

I'd have to say that I dont think that AIC or soundgarden was better than Nirvana, but just as good. Nirvana was better than Mudhoney and Mother Love Bone (R.I.P Andrew Wood) in my opinion. As for albums though I have to say that Nirvana's greatest masterpiece was In Utero and in my opinion is a far better album than nevermind.

Dunno about 'Soundgarden' mate... But you're dead right about the Zep...

The Zep has been with me since i was 12... I still listen to it, 'Physical Grafitti' are still the only CD's that never left my car after all these years...

Haven't heard the Iron Maiden set, but it is probably good. Now the drummer is excellent and the guitar player is good...lose the keyboards and get a new singer and they'd be awesome.
