didnt know where to put this! please help with dvdburner

    I have a plextor px-504a and for some reason the damn thing wont read alot of dvd's. The only firmware update for this is very old and I dont know what I can do. I dont have the money to run and get another one just yet. Any help?

    Other than using a lens cleaner, I don't have any other advice.

    Do you mean it won't read commercially presse DVDs or burned DVDs?

    commercially presse DVDs. Even when i burn data sometimes I been getting errors. Think it's time to break this focker!! Thanks

    Check out newegg.com, they have some great prices on burners. It sounds like you need one. You can probably get one, for the price of a couple new DVD's. Good Luck!
