is the 3800+ much better?? the reason I ask is because my new computer at the office has this cpu. the comp i built a few years ago has a 3000+ (the 3000 runs around 2200mhz vs. 3800 at 2400mhz on a sys info test)

Can I just swap the CPU's or is there something I need to know first??
    thanks for the help

The 3800 is faster, its 2ghz faster. You could swap it if you wanted to, but you need to make sure the office pc and the pc at your house has the same socket type.

Yea, in that case it wont work. You could go out and buy a new mobo with the correct socket, but then again you could buy a new cpu for that money too..
