    Help!

Just downloaded the new firmware. A lot of the channels names were incorrect so I decided to delete them all and do an autoscan again. However, only managed to scan in about 15 channels! Any ideas anybody?
    thanks

    Try it a few times,
Sometimes it may take between 7-10 autoscans !

ok ill keep going thanks.....did it a few times but most i seem to be able to scan in is about 70 channels about half of what i had....also notice that a couple of the music channels are very "scrambly" which weren't before

    @MAINAMN

How necessary is the firmware upgrade, should my current version work? Because I tried scanning a load of times on all frequencys and even enabled EMU with the keys recently posted... but I'm not picking up anything at all.

How can I know for sure that the feed I have is NTL?

When its connected to the TV directul, I get TV3, BBC1, and BBC2 and about 8 other channels I can hear clearly but are lined out (scrambled like).

Hi auggie. First u have to make sure that you have 'cable'!
Are you subscribed to any. ie, n*l basic etc. ( check your last bill )
You may only have terrestrial tv. U need cable to use digivox .

Thats the thing, I get cable channels when I connect to the TV because there scrambled still but I don't know who the provider is (I just moved into the apartment and the TV FM box was there)

I just assumed it was NTL because I've seen those white NTL boxes everywhere.

They may have cancelled the cable subscription though.
U can see if u are getting a signal by pressing' sig ' on your remote when the digivox is on . it should read ** %

Ok I'll try that, will it still work since I've no channels installed yet?

Also, whats the cheapest package of NTL you can get?

No I mean when I connect the NTL cable to the analogue in the TV itself (no digivox connected at all) I get the scrambed channels.

    I'm in Dunshaughlin County Meath.

Try plugging the digivox in and find a scrambled Channel and see if u get a signal..
Is there a square mesh aerial on your roof ?
If there is, it is mmds and not cable !

    Ok mate.

Had a feeling I needed NTL fitted, any idea on how long it would take?

Also, if I get NTL and cancel, will I still have the feed to work with the digivox?

dont know how long they will take to get out to u , but when they do it wont take long , maybe half hour to hook u up !

You need the basic cable to view these boxes so u cant cancel it.
like i said just purchase the basic digital !

No probs mate, get back in touch if you are still stuck.
Dublin gets about 176 channels (around 33 are radio channels)
    all the best...
