has anyone got a digivox for sale cant get one anywhere ??

Hi all, just got a digivox last week and its working great, seems to be picking up all channels Only problem is the channel guide (whats currently on) doesn't seem to work, or only rarely.
Any ideas on this, would it be to do with the firmware or any settings I can try?

 

hi there i normaly turn the box off for a minute at the plug,seems to work ok on mine when this happens,hope this helps,or turn it off in stand by mode for a bit!!

 

Hi to all in DF land. I'm a newbie. Was looking for one of them introductory links to say hi but couldn't find one. Hope I'm in the right forum thread. I picked up a Digivox at the w/end for €250. Pretty pleased with it so far. The odd bad channel/scrambled msg but from reading some threads it seems to update itself and the msgs go after a minute or so. My real question is I see there's a new update on nokias.com which I've downloaded with Downloader 10. I have a null modem lead from maplins ( 9 pin female) so dunno if it's the right cable,hope it's RS232 compatible. The file I downloaded is digivox_z20070101_v4000_api.bin so hope that's the right one. Gonna try to update tomorrow. I have all the steps printed off so if anyone has this update, any feedback on it ? Sorry for long thread but wanted to introduce meself properly.

did any1 here the rumor n*l are going to put a virus in the system 2night to knock of these boxes ?

I think that's exactly what it is "a rumour". You can't send a virus down an analogue coax cable.

 

just upgraded box with latest firmware....how many scans should it take to scan in all the channels. Have done quite a few now but only managing to scan in about 47. I know I had to do a few with v2600

 

HI, Same thing happened to me. I think it's resets the key EMU to off when you perform the scan. SO I just went into, Menu, system information, type 1004. You'll see if the Key EMU is on or off there. I'd say it will be off. Turn it on and go back to viewing channels. It may bave to 'get channel information' and this takes longer than it use to but eventually gets there.

i have reset the emu - did u find u had to do many scan before u got them all back? Should i delete and scanned channels before doing another scan

 

No, the first scan I did only received the basic amount of channels. Then turned on the EMU and it worked. However the problem I had before the upgrade which sounds similar to yours is: in the installation section, when choosing the manual scan, to choose enable at the network scan option. This may fix it.

do not scan thru splitters or extensions u will lose channels,and are u scanning right provider,if u factory reset box by autoscaning u will need to switch emu on to view,all channels come up first time with scan,unless u are chorus u might have to manually input freq.
