download the digivox loader to desktop, followed by bin file 2.8,hook up digivox with null modem cable to pc,right click on digivox loader to open, click on browse to find bin file 2.8,on desktop hopefully, when u see it click on file, that loads it into loader, and click the button open,u should see the named file v2800-api ready for download, digivox on hit download and wait till it tells u it is finished before unplugging and box has rebooted.

When you say you installed a serial port, do you mean a PCI card? Also you say you have an RS232 cable you need a null modem cale which is a serial crossover cable.

Hi Scouser,i have installed a pci i/o controller card and the RS232 cable i'm using has two female ends, one fits into the box and another into the serial port i installed.I have also installed the drivers that came with the card.

ok u need to download digivox loader to desktop, followed by digivox xl file v.1220 that is the more up to date bin also to desktop.
click on downloader to open, browse for bin file on desktop and select
v.1220api,this should appear in file name, then click the open button,
u have a selection of com ports to try,u might have to go thru them all to see which one works.when it downloads wait till it says download complete and box reboots before removing cables

Cactikid,i have tried what you have just said but the message still appears -"Fail To Update Flash" and the progress bar is blank. The rs232 cable i'm using is the one supplied with the box.
