nope, a factory reset brings the box back to the start, when you try to start you installation, the first choice should be the Provider and then the scan. There is something wrong.

Lastly, have ya tried to manual scan for pig iron?
Is your cable in the correct input on the back of the box?

Manual Scan - enter freq 150.00, rate 6887 and see if anything comes in

i am getting channels, i have rte 1 setanta ireland, havent got bbc 1 or 2 they are all just blank

Press menu System Info press ok then Key in 1004, this takes you to a secret menu,
