Discount tv?

    It seems i can run tv out of my telepest connection set up for broadband which i am paying for. the question is will telepest/vm know and would they charge me for the tv i use???

    Cable TV and Internet usually use the same cable but in most cases they install a filter if you only subscribe to one service. In your case they should have installed a filter for the TV signal. This is just my opinion, but unless you started using one of their cable boxes that was addresable, I don't think they can trace it. If it was the other way around, the cable modem would need to talk back to the server so they would detect that. If you just hook the cable to a tv I don't think they will know. At least thats the way I understand it.
