hi me again..i just bought another HDD because the old fujitsu wasnt compatible with my ps2 so now i have a Maxtor Fireball 3 2F040J0 40gb and i have no idea why, but it worked before i backed up some of the games i have onto the hard drive and played it, but now whenever i try to connect it to the computer it says the same message as before "Disk boot failure." This HDD doesnt need a jumper pin to be set on slave so that cant be the problem..any suggestions?

i have the maxtor jumpered as slave..i dont need to use the jumper pin because the sticker on the HDD says for it to be a slave it shouldnt have a pin in it. Its in the secondary IDE, somehow i got it to start regularly with the 40gb Maxtor connected, but whenever i try to select it with Winhiip it's not there.

EDIT: whenever i exit out of the BIOS screen i get this message

    Primary Slave Drive Failes

Press F1 to continue, f2 to enter setup
