I downloaded a movie and I need subtitles to watch it. The files that I have are .avi, .idx, and .sub. How do I get the .idx and .sub file to work with the movie? I tried using vobsub but it requires a .ifo files which I dont have. And if i trying using idx with vobsub, nothing happens. Also, the movie is in divx form but it wont play in my divx player. The screen has green lines when I try to play the movie using divx player. The movie only works with windows media player.

Huh? Vobsub should play .idx and .sub. Make sure the files all have the same name. Make sure you have the latest vobsub 2.23. Check the vobsub properties, it might be just looking for a folder called subtitles, change it so it looks at the entire c: drive. It should show up automatically in windows media player. If not, try zoom player standard which is free.
