I bought Dr DivX and am very peleased with the product. (Yes, I may be easily pleased, I dunno)....

I am considering moving to a 64-bit machine if the encoding speed is faster.

Does anyone have any experience with an AMD 64-bit processor/motherboard, Win64 "technology preview" (beta's not ready yet), and DivX encoding?

I know the encoder is multithreaded, the task manager tells me that there's 26 threads, but only 200MB of virtual memory size in the 32-bit machine.

    Any comparisons or thoughts?

    Best regards

    Jim

i don't think its optimized for 64bit, yet. so it won't take advantage of your 64 bit capability

There has however been some work towards a 64bit version of XviD, although mostly under linux. There is also a 64bit version of VDub.
