Hi Peiter You can download a Divx plugin for Quicktime at www.divx.com but beware it needs a fairly hefty mac to run it I have tried running it on a DVD G3 iMac and it jumps quite a lot and this machine has 256 MB o ram. However On a powermac it seems to run ok. I am running Jaguar 10.2.4 and Quicktime 6 pro if thats any help. )
Thnx, I'm gonna try it! I'm will be running it on a PBG4 500 Mhz with 512mb RAM on OS 10.2.4, so we'll see...
i perfer 3ivx, www.3ivx.com i dont think the divx and 3ivx codec play well together though, so if you try it remove the divx one from the ~/library/quicktime and also get divx doctor II (from 3ivx as well) there is also VLC (video lan client) alot of people believe it to be the best media player for the mac and it can handle divx and dvd's.
