I'm sure this has been asked before, but here it i anyway.

I am trying to encode an AVI file to MPEG1, and everything works fine. The problem is that when i convert the movie, which is full screen (black bar on top and bottom), it changes to a non-full screen movie, and really distorts and stretches the picture. I was wondering if there is anyway to fix it. Oh yeah, i'm using TMPGEnc to encode it.

OK, are you using the TMPGEnc wizard to encode the movie. If so then there is a way to fix it. After you've entered in the files that you want to convert to vcd, you will see an option to "clip frame". Tick the box beside it and click arrange settings. Now you will be able to mess with the aspect ratio if you drag the slide bar accross to an area where you can see a full frame of the movie. Choose whichever looks best and click ok!. Then continue with your encoding.
