divx/xvid/avi to vhs

    ok this might sound backwards

    but how can i transfer my avi films to vhs
    everywhere i try to find out this info
    it s allways vhs to divx....etc

    im going to try to convert some old black and white movies
    to vhs for a family member


    they wont buy a dvd player..........yes sad i know
    they have had vhs recorder since the 80's
    and just now figured how to use it...lol

    I think you would need a VCR with 'line in' jacks then you could connect them to the 'line out' of a dvd player 'if' the player could play divx files.
    Else convert the avi's to dvd first.
    Of course you would have to remember play the dvd where the movie starts or you would get two hours of the menu on tape.
