I have searched the forums but cant find an answer to this one. A friend of mine is buying a laptop and wants to be able to use his hdtv as a monitor. Assuming the laptop has dvi out, I suspect he just need a dvi to hdmi cable? The real question is what sort of spec gfx card will he need to get a decent display on the hdtv?
How do you propose changing a hardwired laptop gfx card? Look for one with hdmi out connectors.. those will do the job, or read the specs carefully.
