I just read another thread that someone said not to put labels on burned DVDs. Why not??? I'm able to copy and burn DVDs with DVD Shrink and Nero. They'll play fine on my Samsung DVD-V4600 player, but only once or twice. Any time after that, the DVD freezes, skips, and cuts out completely. Now I'm beginning to wonder if it's because I put the label on AFTER I play it once or twice to make sure it works okay. Am I ruining the DVDs with the stinking labels?

Yes - labels are not advisable on burnt DVD's - they tend to unbalance the disk and utimatley lead to playback problems.

If you need further convincing - just do a search on DVD Labels on this forum

Thanks for your help! I wish I had found this forum months ago. Could have saved myself a lot of headache and more ruined DVDs than I care to admit. Now that I know what my problem is, I'm off to burn. Thanks again!!!
