Is anyone here familiar with the program Auto Gordian Knot 2.40? I've been using it but it's slow. Is there a program just like it that is faster? I don't care what it cost I just want one that works faster. Thanks.
AutoGK uses DivX and Xvid for encoding. Same goes for most other encoding apps (excluding apps that use libavcodec, Nero, 3ivX or HDX4), so the only way that they can be faster is to use lower quality settings. Recall reading that there was a new version of DivX released recently that speeds up encoding in some circumstances. Not much going on with Xvid recently. libavcodec has always been capable of fast speeds. 3ivX hasn't been updated in years. Nero (Ateme) is fast, but outputs mp4. HDX4 was last I read I think the fastest ASP MPEG-4 encoder. Once again though speed tends to come at the expense of quality.
