no one cares a about what microssoft could have done or has the money to do. What they have done and are currently doing is all that matters. All the money in the world will not make xbox 360 a better system just because microsoft has so much money. Microsft had the potential to make a new chip and they did, sony had the potential to get a new chip and they did too. Sony's just happens to be a better chip than microsofts by far. Haloman7 i agree you cant really compare the systems until they come out but with all respect due to both parties here, Microsoft had the more capable system with the xbox and still could not compete with ps2's profits and sales so what makes anyone think anything will be any different now that sony has the edge on system power now and still has the fan supporter to back it up???

we dont know that the PS3 will be better their is info that show that the PS 3 will not be better then 360 but the 360 will be better the PS3.

Xbox 360 has 3 general CPU’ cores , PS3 just one
Xbox 360 GPU has better proccessing power than the PS3 . Thus contributing to overall rendering performance.
Xbox 360 has alot more memory system bandwidth than the PS3.

and before you say MS could have made it up but you got to remeber that a geek can prove that is not real information and have it on the internet within 1 hour so why will they lie and look bad before their 360 comes out. this is base on the specs given.

lxboy: On the gamespot there is an article about something called a unified pipeline technology that Ati (-> Xbox360) uses and Nvidia (->PS3) doesn't use and which is supposed to make the Xbox360 better then the PS3.

MIND YOU: I'm just saying what the article says: I'm being objective so I'll immedialetly point out that it's written by a guy who works for MS or ATI can't remember (laizzy/laggy day look it up yourself :))

As to microsoft coming out with a handheld: don't think so, but the gizmondo runs on some MS thing not :p:d. It's just to late now for microsoft to get in the game, but I think that in 4y or so (when pc graphics have caught up with PS3 an XBOX360 graphics, and we call the graphics from the consoles bad) the technology will exist (and the batteries) to make a console 4 times the power of the Xbox360 and PS3 in the size of a PSP and you can just connect it to the tv to play at home (seperate wireless controller) or take with you (on unit controls or brain powered controls or something like that :p)

But for now: I just want my PSP now :'(

*EUrope Lags, PSP rocks, my pocket is empty*
-> If you know a good psp deal mail me please, 3 games + PSP (bundle) for cheaper prize then 3games + PSP seperate = eternal gratitude (depending on quality of extra games ;))

yeah the psp should be made so that you can hook it to the tv and plug in another controller so that two players can play it on tv too. That would be a good option for a friend who does not have one to play with someone. A TV tuner would not be a bad idea either.

the thing is i think they said that the sony cell processor only has one physical core, and one virtual one, like on your pentium 4 hyper threading processors, it shows 2 cores but only has one.

No disrespect but Microsoft doesnot have time to worry about a portable. They still have the task at hand to see if they can dethrone sony this time around with the xbox 360 and then if they get that done they might consider a portable but right now they have bigger things at hand on their menu.
