If we could figure that out, we'd be sitting on a beach in Maui. A cd-r or cd-rw should work just fine though....Good Luck. Let us know what you find out!!!

What if I put a little gas over the cd-rom drive...light it...then put the blank dvd-r on top of that?

We can fix this, but you're gonna need a butter knife, a roll of duct tape, and a car battery, and a small ritual sacrifice will be involved

[bold]squizzle[/bold] It only works when you modify your CD Burner into a cup holder....

Then from a cup holder into a DVD burner. :)

Damn Starbuck1, after reading what your computer consists of I almost have computer envy. The only thing holding it back is that Pent..cough cough hack hack ahem...Pent...ahem cough cough hack choke...Pent...puke gag cough hack...Pentium processor. Nice machine.

Thanks, Offset! It took me 4 months to piece it together due to budget constraints! It also has a Creative 2 ZS Platinum Pro sound card and Logitech Z680 5.1 Speakers, and a 21" Philips monitor! My next box this year will be an AMD - FX 53 or 55 and be liquid cooled. I will keep you posted. ... depends on the wife too, she may freak out.

Yes you can most definitely burn a blank dvd on a CD drive using the above prescribed method....
