Does the speed of RB depend on PC Speed and RAM?

    My movies are taking 4-6 hours on one click mode is why i ask.

    Celeron 1.4MHz, 384MBRAM

    the speed depends on these factors

    - cpu speed
    - ram speed and to a certain amount even on ram size
    - kind of encoder / number of passes
    - ...

    I shaved off 10 - 12% encode time by putting the Source and Working folders on different HDs...

    Number of passes, is set with the VBR passes option right?

    How many passes have you guys found give optimal video? And what about VBR Bias and Quality PREC settings? Should I leave them alone?

    I get great results with HC Encoder's default settings...
