    Thankyou Toonami25, your method worked.
    I noticed that the download is only a Demo so I started searching through bittorrent and here's a link to the best search I have ever made :).

    No problem!!!

    I will warn you that it will not always get the vids you want. I still have a few that I am trying to get myself, but about 97% of the time, the program works.

    Thanks for the link, BTW! :-D

    I want to download an embedded flash... but when I try any methods... it just lets me download the player itself, not the actual video...

    I learned what the filename of the .flv is, but the code says: StyleURL="FILENAME.flv" rather then the entire url...

    What can I do!?

    Thanks so much for your help!

    Hi, I've tried almost everything to download the videos from http://fantasticfestonline.bside.com, without succeeding (haven't tried with real player since for some reason it's impossible to download now).

    The only thing I can reach looking at page contents is the swf file for the player (i guess) but not the movie. Looking at source code I've found something that might give a clue to those of you who know what they're doing better than me.

    There are some lines that read

    Code:
    <a href="../../2008/?wicket:interface=:132:13::::"
    onclick="var wcall=wicketAjaxGet('../../2008/?wicket:interface=:132:14:::0:2',null,null, function() {return Wicket.$('videoLink33') != null;}.bind(this));
    return !wcall;" id="videoLink33">watch <span>High Bandwidth (1200k)</span>...</a>
    which somehow seem to be links to the actual videos (there are different size versions there), but I don't really know anything about JS, Ajax or whatever that is.

    Could anyone help me, please?

    Ok, I've been able to try with Real Player and it doesn't work either. It does for other sources (youtube,etc) though, so I guess it's not wrong configuration or something similar.

    hiya :) i've spent all night trying to work out how to download these files... i tried it with firefox, but i'm afraid the file's got a protector on it, as the file that ended up being downloaded was small in size, and certainly not the vid i wanted. i also tried a program called Orbit, but still no luck. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

    Replay Media Catcher will capture it.
    At least the new version.
    http://www.applian.com/replay-media-catcher/demo.php

    The demo will get 75%.
    Your video is almost 200mb so even 75% of that should be quite a bit.
    But it will cost you a little if you want the whole thing.

    This is a message for CIDaemon. Just discovered this thread and am able to understand the process you suggest for uncovering hidden .swf files. However, I am able to take it only so far and then no further.

    The webpage I am looking at is http://www.responsibilityproject.com/films/hot-seat1/?src=B151_Hot_Seat_300x250_Film. It contains a file named http://www.responsibilityproject.com/s/caecilia.200801311727.swf. As you suggested, I downloaded a hex editor to look at the embedded file but am unable to detect the location for the movie.

    It would help if you not only found it but indicated how you did that. Thanks in advance.

    I am a newbe to both Firefox and saving videos. I have a .swf file that I have saved from the web. I have both Flash and Shockwave installed but still cannot play the files that I have downloaded. If I double click on the .swf file and try to play it I get the windows message that it does not know what program to use to play it. Here is one of the sites I am trying to save the file.http://www.tasteofhome.com/Videos
    I would GREATLY appreciate any assistance I can get.

    You guys are great. I have 1 question.
    How do I download the video WITHOUT the sound on youtube. or how do I use say Nero etc to take the sound out and add my own audio to the video. Thanks. I am currently using Alive You Tube to download the entire thing (video+audio) but I need video only. Thanks.

    You should have a program called Windows Movie Maker, it is under Program Files - Movie Maker.
    If it is a flv video you have to convert it first, then you can use Movie Maker to mute the sound and create a new video.
    At least that is how I would do it.
